In the early 2000's I fell in love with chip carving when I saw the work of a Los Angeles based artist. Living in that area at the time, I contacted the artist and asked if he would be wiling to apprentice me. He agreed and so began my carving tenure.
There are many wonderful chip carving artists out there, and as one of the younger ones, I am pleased to continue the tradition and hopefully pass it on. While I have carved a range of items in the past, I currently specialize in wall hangings, hand-bound books, and ornaments.
I live in Nashville Tennessee with my husband and three sons. In addition to the carving, I am a grant writer, a song writer and musician playing the mandolin, fiddle, guitar and cello.
